That’s it. That’s what Jesus said matters most.
We are in awe of how God has blessed Your Church – overflowing with gifts, talents and generosity! Michelle and I are so grateful for the people of this place and are so excited for where He is leading us in this refreshed season.
We are continuing to build our church this financial year in a refreshed way. We have found in our own personal lives that generosity is one of the clearest ways we can live out our love for God and our love for people.
That’s where “Kingdom Builders” comes in.
Kingdom Builders is our church’s mission funding arm. It’s where every dollar given above the tithe goes further toward real, practical ministry. From supporting local chaplains in schools, to running church camps that change the lives of young people, to meeting tangible needs in our own community and around the world!
The Kingdom Builders initiative is to bring clarity, focus, and purpose to our giving.
It’s our way of putting Mark 12:30–31 into action.
We tithe. We love God.
We give to Kingdom Builders. We give to people.
When we live that way fully, faithfully, and sacrificially we’re not just attending Church; we are being the Church.
We’re building the Kingdom. Together.

Picture it like this: Your Church giving will go into 1 of 2 buckets – the Tithe bucket and the Kingdom Builders bucket.
Tithes
Tithing is the 10%, or sometimes more, of your regular income that you choose to surrender to God in order to build his house weekly or on a regular basis.
Practically speaking, this goes towards things like paying electricity, fuel for the bus, materials for renovations, wages… All the costs associated with the running of any organisation! I know we all appreciate the aircon in the winter.

Kingdom Builders
The Kingdom Builders bucket is to bless other initiatives on top of the cost of the runnings of our Church. From the total amount given to Kingdom Builders, it shall be distributed in percentages to the organisations below.
As decided by the board of Your Church Stanthorpe, the initiatives we are supporting are:

20% Local Chaplains
15% Camps (Youth, Young Adults, Kids)
10% Compassion
5% Bush Kids
5% Community Food Support
5% Urgent Requests
5% Thai Orphanage

30% – LOCAL CHURCH PLANTING
Our Heartbeat
We’re a church that exists to see lives changed and charged. A major way we fulfill this mission is by church planting. We feel this is part of our reason for existence as a church.
There are communities all over our region where people feel lost, forgotten, and that their lives are
meaningless. But we believe every postcode matters to God. That’s why one of our big Kingdom Builders goals is to plant life-giving churches in small towns that don’t yet have a place to call their own.
30% of the total Kingdom Builders bucket will go towards church plants. The churches we have recently planted in Texas, Tenterfield and Inglewood have seen many people set free and empowered to live their God given destiny.
How amazing is that!
20% – LOCAL CHAPLAINS
Our Schools
To bring hope and care in everyday moments is a powerful presence to have. This happens in our community everyday in schoolyards, classrooms, and staff rooms. We’re so thankful for the amazing chaplains who serve in our local schools. They show up every day ready to be a listening ear, a steady support, and a presence for young people who are often walking through some of life’s toughest challenges.
Through Kingdom Builders, we get to back them. Your giving helps keep chaplains employed and embedded in schools where they can be an authentic influence — offering care, hope, and encouragement to hundreds of students.
20% of the whole Kingdom Builders bucket will go towards the support of local chaplains.
15% – CAMPS
Our Next Generation/Future
Opportunities to invest in the lives of young people are something we are passionate about. Did you know our church was essentially birthed from the youth group?
Through Clan Wars (Youth), Among the Wild Ones (Young Adults), and the kids camps we’re dreaming into reality, we’re creating life-changing moments that mark people forever. 15% of the Kingdome Builders bucket will go towards supporting these three camps.
This isn’t just hype and games (though there’s plenty of that!) — it’s where callings are discovered, freedom is found, and friendships rooted. These camps extend to our community and provide practical activities for the generations in our region. These funds help lower the cost barrier for families, resource camp programs, and make sure every generation has a chance to encounter God deeply. Camps are undeniably a launching pad for Life Changed.
10% – Compassion
Our Overseas Impact
We may be based in Australia, but we are aware of the realities of the world. Through our partnership with Compassion, Your Church Stanthorpe currently sponsors 18 children in East Indonesia, helping release them from poverty in Jesus’ name.
Since 2017, this is something we have supported and it is such an honour to bring real and practical changes to communities through supporting these children.
It’s a beautiful reminder that the Gospel has no borders. And when we give globally, we get to be part of life changed in places we may never set foot — but where God is already at work.
10% of the Kingdom Builders Bucket will go towards our 18 children in the Compassion program.
5% – Bush kids
Our Wide Reach
In the vast landscapes of Queensland, many children and families face challenges in accessing essential health and developmental services due to distance and limited resources. BUSHkids, a not-for-profit organisation with a legacy spanning over 90 years, is dedicated to bridging this gap.
Through a network of regional service centres in locations like Bundaberg, Dalby, Emerald, Mount Isa, and Warwick, as well as satellite sites in communities such as Inglewood, Stanthorpe, Agnes Water, and Kingaroy, BUSHkids offers free preventative and early intervention allied healthcare. Their multidisciplinary teams, including Speech Pathologists, Occupational
Therapists, Psychologists, and Family Health Support Workers. They work tirelessly to support children’s health and wellbeing.
By contributing to Kingdom Builders, you’re helping ensure that children in remote areas receive the support they need to thrive. Your generosity aids in providing vital services that foster development, resilience, and hope for families who might otherwise go without.
Together, we’re extending our reach to the farthest corners, ensuring that every child has the opportunity for a life changed right in our back yard.
5% – Community food support
Our Table
In our community, the simple act of sharing a meal can be a profound expression of care and connection. In our town, the Granite Belt Neighbourhood Centre (GBNC) ensures those facing such hardships can get practical help in our community.
GBNC operates a weekly Food Support program, providing donated food items to individuals and families in need. This initiative ensures that no one in our community has to face hunger alone.
Additionally, GBNC’s Emergency Relief program offers assistance with basic life needs, including food and tenancy support, helping residents maintain stability during challenging times. Kingdom Builders will support this local organisation to do the things they already do so well!
5% of the total Kingdom Builders bucket will go towards this organisation.
5% – Thai Orphanage
Our Global Family
In the hills of Northern Thailand, places like Sila Home stands as a beacon of hope for children from marginalised hill tribes such as the Lahu, Lesu, Hmong, Karen, and Akha. Many of these children face challenges like poverty, lack of access to education, and the risk of exploitation. Sila Home provides a safe, nurturing environment where up to 40 children, aged 3 to 18, receive not only shelter and education but also spiritual guidance and love.
The funds are to help support the daily needs of these children, including food, clothing, education, and healthcare. Additionally, funds assist in expanding facilities to accommodate more children and in developing programs like the “No Needy Program,” which offers scholarships for post-secondary education.
Orphanages holds a special place in our heart as a church community and we are pleased to contribute 5% of Kingdom Builders to this.
5% – Urgent Requests
Our ‘Yes’
“Yes we can help!”
Being able to respond when sudden crisis arise is something we want to make financial room for and be known for as a gathering of people! We have the hands to help but setting aside finances for that too will be a huge benefit.
Whether it’s a family facing sudden homelessness, someone who’s lost their job, or a single parent needing groceries to get through the week — life can throw curveballs. And as a Church, we want to be ready to respond, fast.
Kingdom Builders exists for those moments. It allows us to meet urgent and unexpected needs with compassion, dignity, and practical care — through things like food vouchers, rent support, emergency accommodation, or simply being there when no one else can be.
We may not be able to fix every crisis, but we can be a light in the middle of it. Your generosity in this space helps us say “yes” — and that yes can be the start of someone’s life changed.
5% – Yard Army
Our Hands/Church with a mower
Every church has unsung heroes — and ours often come with a whipper snipper in one hand and a mower in the other.
Our Yard Army is a passionate group of volunteers who show up, tools in hand, to mow lawns, trim hedges, and help care for properties — especially for people doing it tough, the elderly, or those in crisis. It’s not about landscaping; it’s about love in action.
With Kingdom Builders funding, we’re equipping them to go further and do more — purchasing a trailer, a ride-on mower, and quality tools so they can respond quickly and effectively when a need arises.
Literally planting seeds of hope, we would love our team to be resourced with ordinary tools to see lives changed!
